Traction 

Burst Live has built several virtual concerts with a global impact, such as an event for Nightwish that sold tickets for $1.5M+ and “The Brook”, a virtual world for hip hop legend Notorious BIG. Burst is now using that experience to build Burst World, an entertainment platform for Apple Vision, that will feature a library of virtual concerts from global artists, an e-commerce platform for fan items and more.

Burst Live is now looking to raise €2,2M seed funding for the launch of Burst World. The ideal investor would have expertise in the global music industry, with virtual technology and/or with SaaS-based entertainment platforms. The investment is needed to:

  1. Validate and launch the Burst World application in the USA (Q3 2024) and Europe (Q4 2024).
  2. Reach 40k new customers, who are fans of the artists that will perform in Burst World, creating €8,6M net annual revenues by Q4 2025.
  3. Strengthen the team with 3 new hires in production (3D artist, producer and software developer) and 2 hires in sales and marketing.

Founded in 2022 in Helsinki, Burst Live is poised to capture a significant share of the global spatial computing market worth $97,9Bn in 2023, and projected to grow to $280,5Bn by 2028 (+23,3% CAGR/Year). 

Business Model

Burst Live is monetizing through a subscription model (SaaS) and virtual concert ticket sales to B2C customers such as music and concert fans (subscribers), as well as fans of specific artists (ticket sales). Revenue growth (breakeven in Q4 2025) is projected at 150% YoY, as Apple Vision glasses keep saturating the market, reaching €54,5M in Q4 2027.

Burst Live team of 8 full-time and 8 part-time employees (6 co-founders and advisors), with 81.8% (74.67% after this round’s share issue) total ownership and €50M+ in previous exits, combines several decades of managerial, commercial, virtual technology and music industry expertise.

Round Details

At a €23M pre-money valuation, Burst Live aims to close this seed round by April 1, 2024. The minimum investment ticket size is €50k.

Burst Live has previously raised €1,2M in private capital in 2022 and 2023 from Business Angels and a €1,6M grant from NextGeneration EU in Q4 2023. Once this investment round is secured, Burst Live is fully ready for international commercial uptake and will have the necessary traction for a Series A round in Q4 2024. Burst Live is seeking to exit in 4-5 years, with a target valuation of €750M (30x return of investment).
